Who can use basic

basic is for eligible non-US persons only. Coinbase tokenized stocks are offered by their issuer under Regulation S and cannot be held by US persons. Before the first trade with an account you confirm once that you are not a US person and not in a restricted jurisdiction, and you accept the terms below. Every account address is screened against sanctions lists on every quote and every trade.

Terms of service, version 2026-09-24

By trading on basic you agree to these terms. You confirm that you are not a US person; that you are not located in, organized in, or a resident of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, the Crimea, Donetsk, or Luhansk regions, or any other jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions; that you are not on any sanctions list, including the OFAC list of Specially Designated Nationals; and that you are eligible to hold Coinbase tokenized stocks under the issuer's terms.

Your confirmation is recorded with your account address, the terms version, and the time, and is asked once per account per version. Account addresses are screened against sanctions lists before every quote and every trade, in every configuration of the service; an address on a list cannot trade. If any confirmation is untrue you may not use basic. We may also restrict access by location.

These terms change from time to time. When the version changes you are asked to accept the new version before your next trade.

What basic is

basic is a web interface to an open, immutable smart contract on Base that buys and sells lists of Coinbase tokenized stocks into your own wallet. Basic Labs, LLC operates the interface. It never holds your money or your tokens and cannot reverse a transaction.

Fees

A routing fee of 0.20% is taken in USDC on every buy and sell and paid to the treasury. The contract caps it at 0.50%. Adding money and withdrawing go through Coinbase, which shows its own fee before you pay. Network fees are included for passkey accounts.

No advice

Nothing on basic is investment, legal, or tax advice. An index here is a published list, not a recommendation. Prices can go down.

Tokenized stocks

Each stock token is issued by Coinbase and can be paused, or your address blocked, under the issuer's policy. When that happens the affected stock cannot be bought or sold until the issuer lifts it. Corporate actions are handled by the issuer through a per-token multiplier; your token count never changes.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your account, your passkey or keys, and for following the laws that apply to you.

No warranty

The interface and the contract are provided as is. Smart contracts can have bugs. Basic Labs is not liable for losses from using them.
